ABSTRACT A device for loading and unloading a heavy firearm onto and off a vehicle. The device comprises a bearing rail system formed on the bottom of a carriage of the firearm. A tipping frame is mounted on the vehicle. The tipping frame is provided with a hoisting device for engaging the carriage of the firearm and for lifting and pulling the firearm onto the tipping frame and lowering the firearm down on the ground. The bearing rail system and the tipping frame are formed so that they are in contact with each other when the firearm rests on the vehicle. The vehicle is a normal-type truck having a standard interchange- able platform which type trucks are readily available.
