The invention concerns a device for therapeutically treating a patient using magnetic fields, particularly with nuclear magnetic resonances. The aim of the invention is to provide a device for treating a patient using magnetic fields, with which, in particular, a localized treatment, e.g. in the head area of the patient is made possible, which burdens the patient as little as possible, and which can be used in a space-saving manner. The device should also be able to be versatilely adapted to the anatomy of the patient and/or to the clinical picture. Le dispositif doit également pouvoir s'adapter de façon flexible à l'anatomie du patient et/ou au tableau clinique. Selon l'invention, le dispositif comprend un dossier et au moins un bras (4B) qui dépasse du plan défini par le dossier (1C), un système (30B) destiné à produire le premier champ magnétique de traitement, étant disposé au niveau du premier bras (4B). En particulier, le dispositif se présente de préférence sous la forme d'un siège ou d'une chaise de traitement.
