The device has two side members (12, 14) shaped generally as quadrilaterals with the first side member (12) being a mirror image of the second side member (14). A first surface (64) joins a first edge (16) of the first side member to a fifth edge (24) of the second side member. A second surface (66) joins a second edge (18) of the first side member to a sixth edge (26) of the second side member. The fourth edge (22) of the first side member and the eighth edge (30) of the second side member have teeth (76, 78, 80, 82) which engage a surface. The fourth edge and the eighth edge also have cut outs (86, 88) which assist in engaging a ladder. A handle (118) can be provided for easy carrying. A third surface (68) joins the first side member to the second side member.
