The invention concerns a device for moving forward the material for a knife hog (10) with horizontal axis wherein is arranged a circular grinding track (14) and which driven in rotation at a speed higher than the critical speed such that the material being ground is maintained on the grinding track by centrifugal force. The device consists of a knife (20) placed inside the drum, in the upper descending part, so as to scrape the material layer from the track, and of a deflecting blade (22) provided under the knife to intercept the material particles scraped by the latter and divert them towards the hog outlet. In order to facilitate the disintegration of the material layer by the knife and its dispersion, the knife (20) is arranged such that its active surface forms an angle .alpha. between +15· and -50· with the radial plane bearing on its edge.

L'invention a pour objet un dispositif d'avance de la matière pour un broyeur à tambour (10) à axe horizontal à l'intérieur duquel est aménagée une piste de broyage circulaire (14) et qui est entraîné en rotation à une vitesse supérieure à la vitesse critique de telle sorte que la matière en cours de broyage soit maintenue sur la piste par la force centrifuge, dispositif constitué par un couteau (20) placé à l'intérieur du tambour, dans la partie supérieure descendante, de façon à détacher la couche de matière de la piste, et par une plaque déflectrice (22) disposée sous le couteau de façon à intercepter les matières détachées par ce dernier et à les dévier vers la sortie du broyeur. Pour favoriser la désagrégation de la couche de matière par le couteau et sa dispersion, le couteau (20) est disposé de telle sorte que sa face active fasse un angle .alpha. compris entre +15~ et -50~ avec le plan radial P s'appuyant sur son arête.
