ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An actuator for variable adjustment of the pistons in hydraulic slave cylinders for regulation of, for example, the elevation adjustment of work stations. The pistons are actuated by way of a pusher which is non-rotatable but axially displace- able in the actuator housing. The object is to provide an actuator which requires low installation height, which can be semi-attached to comprise a large number of pump cylinders without effecting the low installation height, which improves the adjusting possibilities, so that every individual leg cylin- der can be adjusted for balancing of possible irregularities in the floor. This has been provided by the fact that in the housing there are provided one or more oblong openings for drivers attachable to the pusher and arranged for cooperation with the corresponding pusher in one or several further actua- tors placeable close to the actuator and that in at least one of the connected actuators there is arranged a threaded spindle for cooperation with a pusher designed as a nut.
