Apparatus for securing a motor vehicle against theft uses a vehicle control device (22) connected by a signaling link to a first control node of a vehicle module essential to mobilization of the vehicle, the essential module further having a power node connected to a power supply source (4). The apparatus comprises: an enable/disable control for conditionally disabling signaling along the signaling link, a user interface code input device (106) communicating with the enable/disable control via a secure command link, and an armored encapsulation encapsulating the disable control and the control node and physically configured to render inoperable any of the disable control, the signaling link and the control node upon being tampered with.

L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de protéger un véhicule automobile contre le vol. Cet appareil utilise un dispositif de commande du véhicule connecté par une liaison de signalisation au premier noeud de commande d'un module de véhicule essentiel pour l'immobilisation du véhicule, le module essentiel ayant également un noeud de puissance connecté à une source d'alimentation électrique. L'appareil comprend un dispositif de commande d'activation/de désactivation permettant de désactiver conditionnellement la signalisation de la ligne de signalisation, un dispositif d'entrée de code interface utilisateur communiquant avec le dispositif de commande d'activation/de désactivation via une liaison de commande protégée, et une encapsulage blindé encapsulant le dispositif de commande de désactivation et le noeud de commande, et conçu physiquement pour rendre inopérationnelle la commande de désactivation, la ligne de signalisation ou bien le noeud de commande lorsque l'on y touche.
