Device to assist a person in putting on socks, ankle socks, stockings and similar items of apparel. The device includes two elongated arms (1, 2) assembled like tongs. The lower end of each arm includes a horseshoe-shaped jaw (11, 21). The two jaws fit together when the two arms are brought together. The sock (9) may be pulled onto the first jaw (11), where it is held in place by a stop piece (110). The first jaw keeps the sock open wide enough to allow a person to lower the toes and then the heel into the sock. By bringing the two arms (1, 2) together, the sock (9) is gripped between the two jaws (11, 21). This makes it possible to put on the sock and bring it up around the ankles without having to bend over. One of the jaws (21) also includes a spur (23) for removing the sock.
Dispositif permettant de faciliter l'enfilage de chaussettes, socquettes, bas et pièces de vêtement similaires. Le dispositif comporte deux bras (1,2) oblongs assemblés comme une tenaille. L'extrémité inférieure de chaque bras comporte un mors (11,21) en forme de fer à cheval. Les deux mors s'emboîtent l'un dans l'autre lorsque les deux bras sont rapprochés. La chaussette (9) peut être enfilée autour du premier mors (11), où elle est maintenue grâce à une butée (110). Le premier mors la maintient suffisamment ouverte pour pouvoir y enfiler la pointe du pied puis le talon. En rapprochant les deux bras (1,2), on pince la chaussette (9) entre les deux mors (11,21). Il est alors possible d'enfiler la chaussette et de la remonter le long des molletssans se courber. Un des mors (21) comporte en outre un ergot (23) permettant de retirer les chaussettes.
