ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According to the present invention a device is proposed for determining the position of an adjustment drive or similar mechanism. The device uses two continuous potentiometers having sliders coupled to the adjustment drive whereby the resistance value determined by the position of the slider represents a measurement of the position of the adjustment drive. The sliders of each potentiometer are driven in differing ratios of transmission to one another, whereby the differential value resulting from the resistance values of the two potentiometers represents the measurement for the position of the adjusting mechanism.
