Device to simulate text reading applicable to dolls, which has been designed to be part of a set including a doll, a desk and a book, being the latter duly attached to the flat upper surface of the desk, whereas the doll appears to be seating at the desk, including a plurality of sensors assembled on a plate arranged under the book, corresponding said sensors to as many areas to be arranged on the pages of the book, being represented at each such area a motif, word or image to be pronounced by the doll whenever the relevant area is duly pressed on by the finger of the doll or user.
