ABSTRACT A device to translate rotary motion into reci- procal motion where the device includes a rigid tubular guide conduit (5) connected to a flexible conduit (15). The rigid guide conduit includes a first arcuate 5. portion (6) having a keyhole slot (10) extending through a side wall of the rigid conduit (5). The arcuate portion (6) of the guide conduit is connected to a second straight portion (7) which extends perpen- dicular to the plane of the arcuate portion (6) and is 10. connected to the arcuate portion by a third curved por- tion (8). A core (17) is movable within the rigid and flexible conduits (5, 15) and is connected to a tab(l8) extending through the slot (10).
