A calibration standard (10) for calibrating a thermal gradient spectrometer (100). The calibration standard is a structure having a particular glucose concentration which a thermal gradient spectrometer reads for determining whether the spectrometer is in calibration. The structure of the calibration standard properly mimics the physiology of human tissue. A number of such standards, each containing a different concentration of glucose are provided in kit form with a thermal gradient spectrometer for use in calibrating the spectrometer. The spectrometer is provided with a display (130) and internal circuitry for performing self-calibrating adjustments and a communications port for electronically coupling to a remote computer and database for supplying external calibration commands to said spectrometer.
La présente invention concerne un standard d'étalonnage (10) destiné à étalonner un spectromètre à gradient thermique (100). Le standard d'étalonnage est une structure possédant une concentration particulière en glucose qu'un spectromètre à gradient thermique lit afin de déterminer s'il est en procédure d'étalonnage. La structure du standard d'étalonnage mime de façon judicieuse la physiologie du tissu humain. Un certain nombre de tels standards, chacun contenant une concentration différente de glucose, sous forme de trousse, permet d'étalonner un spectromètre à gradient thermique. Ce spectromètre comprend un affichage (130) et des circuits internes destinés à réaliser des ajustements d'étalonnage automatique, un port de communications destiné au couplage électronique avec un ordinateur distant, et une base de données permettant d'alimenter le spectromètre en commandes d'étalonnage externe.
