Devices and methods are provided for facilitating the delivery of EM energy between microstrip transmission lines (34) and dielectric-filled waveguides (14). A transition (10) incorporates a longitudinally extending housing. An element feed is disposed at least partially within the housing with a first end of the element feed being configured to electrically communicate with the microstrip transmission line (34). Additionally, a dielectric material (18) preferably surrounds at least a portion of the element feed and is disposed at least partially within the housing so that the housing and the dielectric material (18) form the dielectric-filled waveguide (14).
L'invention concerne des dispositifs et procédés permettant de faciliter la délivrance d'énergie électromagnétique entre des lignes de transmission microrubans et des guides d'ondes (14) remplis de diélectrique. Une transition (10) comporte un boîtier longitudinal. Un élément d'alimentation, placé au moins partiellement dans le boîtier, a une première extrémité configurée pour communiquer électriquement avec la ligne de transmission microrubans (34). En plus, un matériau diélectrique (18) entoure, de préférence, au moins une partie de l'élément d'alimentation et est disposé au moins partiellement dans le boîtier de telle façon que le boîtier et le matériau diélectrique (18) forment le guide d'onde (14) rempli de diélectrique.
