A device for individually analysing cells of interest, comprising (a) a channel for receiving the contents of a cell of interest, wherein the channel has an input end and an output end, and (b) a cell trapping site in proximity to the input end of the channel, wherein (i) the input end of the channel is adapted such that an intact cell of interest cannot enter the channel; and (ii) the channel contains one or more analytical components for analysing the contents of the cell of interest. In use, a cell is applied to the device, where it is trapped by the cell trapping means. The cell cannot enter the channel intact, but its contents can be released in situ to enter the channel's input end. The contents can then move down the channel, towards the output end, and they encounter the immobilised reagents, thereby permitting analysis of the cell contents.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'analyser individuellement des cellules d'intérêt, qui comprend: a) un canal destiné à recevoir les contenus d'une cellule d'intérêt, ledit canal étant doté d'une extrémité d'entrée et d'une extrémité de sortie, et b) un site de piégeage de cellule situé à proximité de l'extrémité d'entrée du canal, dont i) l'extrémité d'entrée est conçue de sorte qu'une cellule d'intérêt intacte ne peut y entrer, et ii) le canal contenant un ou plusieurs composant(s) analytique(s) qui permettent d'analyser les contenus de la cellule d'intérêt. En cours d'utilisation, une cellule est appliquée au dispositif dans lequel elle est piégée à l'aide d'un organe de piégeage de cellule. La cellule intacte ne peut entrer dans le canal, mais ses contenus peuvent être libérés in situ afin d'entrer dans l'extrémité d'entrée dudit canal. Les contenus peuvent ensuite se déplacer vers le bas du canal vers l'extrémité de sortie et rencontrer des agents immobilisés, ce qui permet d'analyser les contenus cellulaires.
