Implantable connector devices (10) which are useable to maintain fluidic connection between or approximation of, openings formed in adjacent natural or prosthetic anatomical conduits (or adjacent openings formed in a single anatomical conduit). These connector devices (10) generally comprise a plurality of radially expandable annular members (12a-12c) having one or more elongate strut members (14) extending therebetween. Initially, the device (10) is mountable on or within a delivery catheter while in a radially compact configuration. After the delivery catheter has been inserted into the body, the device is caused to transition to a radially expanded configuration whereby it becomes implanted within the body so as to maintain the desired fluidic connection between, or the desired approximation of, the anatomical conduit(s).
Cette invention a trait à des dispositifs connecteurs implantables (10) que l'on peut utiliser pour préserver une communication fluidique entre des ouvertures ménagées dans des voies anatomiques adjacentes tant naturelles que prothétiques (ou bien entre des ouvertures adjacentes ménagées dans un seul conduit anatomique) ou pour maintenir en place l'affrontement des lèvres de ces ouvertures. Ces connecteurs (10) comprennent, d'ordinaire, plusieurs éléments annulaires susceptibles de se dilater radialement (12a-12c) comportant un ou plusieurs éléments d'étayage de forme allongée placés entre eux. Initialement le connecteur (10) peut se monter sur un cathéter d'apport, ou à l'intérieur de celui-ci, lorsqu'il est aplati radialement. Après introduction du cathéter d'apport dans le corps, on fait se dilater radialement le connecteur qui est alors implanté dans le corps et ce, de manière à préserver la communication fluidique désirée entre la voie anatomique ou les voies anatomiques ou encore à maintenir l'affrontement existant entre les lèvres du ou des conduits.
