Abstract of the Disclosure A device is disclosed for opening a screw cap on a container. The device has a handle and a band of material mounted by the handle so as to project in a loop therefrom. Two co-operating screw-threaded members are manually operable to tighten the band about a screw cap to be opened by contracting the size of the loop, and those two members can be manually dis- engaged to provide a substantially coarser adjustment of the size of the loop than that provided by the two screw-threaded members.
