ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO DEVICES FOR SAMPLING, DRAINAGE OR INFUSION OF LIQUIDS FROM OR TO THE HUMAN OR ANIMAL BODY A device for use in the sampling or infusion of liquids from or to the human or animal body comprising a chamber for receiving fluid, a cannula in communication with the chamber, at least one valve means operable in an open condition to connect the chamber with a source or drain of liquid and in a closed condition to seal the chamber therefrom, and chamber venting means allowing the escape of air from the chamber whilst preventing the escape of liquid therefrom.
