Systems and methods for providing for the automatic instrument-based rapid reprocessing of an intact extracorporeal circuit (14) for use in hemodialysis. The system includes a manifold (56) with connectors (60, 62) for engaging a dialyzer (10) as well as venous and arterial blood lines. The manifold (56) is adapted to be moved from a dialysis machine (66) to a reuse instrument (72) without removing the dialyzer (10) and associated blood lines. The system allows for reprocessing of the extracorporeal circuit (14) wherein prior to the next treatment, there is no residual chemical disinfectant requiring testing, the extracorporeal circuit (14) is pre-primed, the levels in the bubble traps are set, and all of the required quality assurance tests are performed and recorded.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour le reconditionnement instrumental rapide et automatique d'un circuit extracorporel intact (14) utilisable en hémodialyse. Le système comprend un collecteur (56) muni de connecteurs (60, 62) pour le raccordement d'un dialyseur (10) ainsi que de la tubulure pour le sang veineux et artériel. Le collecteur (56) est conçu pour être déplacé d'une machine à dialyser (66) à un instrument réutilisé (72) sans retirer le dialyseur (10) et les tubulures associées pour le sang. Le système permet de reconditionner le circuit extracorporel (14) pour que, avant le traitement suivant, il n'y ait plus de désinfectant chimique résiduel à tester, le circuit extracorporel (14) est pré-amorcé, les niveaux des pièges à bulles d'air sont fixés, et tous les tests d'assurance qualité sont effectués et enregistrés.
