Transgenic soybean seed having increased total fatty acid content of at least 10% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of non-transgenic, null segregant soybean seed are described. DGAT genes from oleaginous organisms are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.
La présente invention concerne des graines de soja transgéniques dont les profils d'acides gras sont modifiés et dont la teneur totale en acides gras est accrue d'au moins 10 % par rapport à la teneur totale en acides gras de graines de soja non transgéniques sans ségrégant. Des gènes DGAT issus d'organismes oléagineux sont utilisés pour obtenir cet accroissement des lipides stockés dans les graines.
