DI-(SUBSTITUTED HYDROXYPHENYLTHIO) ALKANE AND CYCLOALKANE STABLIZERS AND STABILIZED COMPOSITIONS Abstract of the Disclosure Organic materials are stabilized against thermal, oxidative and photo-degradation by incorporating therein an effective amount of a compound of formula I Image (I) wherein R is tert-butyl, R1 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R2 is alkyl of 6 to 8 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl, cyclohex-3-enyl or 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl; or where R1 and R2 together are alkylene of 5 to 11 carbon atoms. Polyolefins, ABS resins, natural and synthetic rubbers and polyesters are particularly well stabilized by the compounds of formula I.
