DIABETIC CONTROL BY COMBINED INSULIN FORMS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention concerns a therapeutic dose of insulin for the treatment of diabetes Mellitus. By providing free insulin in combination with insulin encapsulated in a lipid membrane lipsome which has a target molecule recognizable by the hepatocyte receptors of the liver, the usually required dosage of insulin may be reduced to provide replication of healthy function. The proportion of free insulin to encapsulated insulin may be 1:9 to 9:1. The liver function in removing glucose from the blood supply and then releasing the glucose from the liver is regulated.
