26 ABSTRACT Novel diacyl derivatives of phenythioether amines are provided in accordance with the following formula (I): Image (I) wherein R1 is H or C1 - C8 alkyl: R2 is H or C1 - C8 alkyl; R3 is H, C1 - C8 alkyl or C1 - C8 alkanoyl, R4 is C1 - C8 alkanoyl, with the proviso that one of R1, R2 or R3 is other than H, and that OR4 is in the ortho or para position. These compounds are particularly useful in pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of pigmentation disorders.
