The invention relates to a method which uses the growth factor HARP to detect mononucleated blood cells and which provides a means of diagnosing the proliferative pathologies of this type of cell such as chronic lymphoid leukaemia. The method for detecting the B lymphocytes comprises bringing a blood sample and some HARP polypeptide, a fragment or a derivative of HARP into contact with each other and detecting the fixation of the HARP polypeptide, fragment or derivative of HARP to the surface of the B lymphocytes. The method for diagnosing proliferative pathologies of mononucleated blood cells also comprises the comparison of the rates of fixation of HARP to the B lymphocytes of a sample from a patient and the B lymphocytes of a sample from a healthy subject.
La présente invention concerne un procédé utilisant le facteur de croissance HARP pour détecter les cellules mononucléées du sang, permettant ainsi le diagnostic des pathologies prolifératives de ce type de cellules, comme les leucémies lymphoïdes chroniques. Le procédé de détection des lymphocytes B comprend, d'une part, la mise en contact d'un échantillon sanguin et du polypeptide HARP, d'un fragment ou d'un dérivé de HARP et, d'autre part, la détection de la fixation à la surface des lymphocytes B du polypeptide HARP, d'un fragment ou d'un dérivé de HARP. Le procédé de diagnostic des pathologies prolifératives des cellules mononucléées du sang comprend en outre la comparaison des taux de fixation de HARP sur les lymphocytes B d'un échantillon provenant d'un patient et sur les lymphocytes B d'un échantillon provenant d'un sujet sain.
