Abstract of the disclosure: Diagnostic agent for the control of blood coagulability containing thromboplastin and calcium ions which is character- ized by a content of factor VII and factor X sensitive thromboplastin extracted from an aqueous suspension of thrombogenic tissue at a pH of 10 to 12 and subsequently treated in an acid pH range, its manufacture and its use as a diagnostic agent, as well as the stabilization of said diagnostic agent by the addition of cholanic acid and a water soluble heavy-metal - II - salt.
