A method of performing diagnostics on a first hierarchical device operable within a building automation system is disclosed. The method includes compiling application code configured to control the first hierarchical device such that the application code includes a plurality of internal variables, providing a diagnostic module configured to monitor the plurality of internal variables, collecting internal variable diagnostic data related to the monitored plurality of internal variables, uploading the collected internal variable diagnostic data to a second hierarchical device, performing, at the second first hierarchical device, a layered diagnostic analysis on the internal variable diagnostic data, and identifying a first hierarchical device problem based on the analyzed internal variable diagnostic data.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de réalisation de diagnostics dans un premier dispositif hiérarchisé pouvant servir dans un système d'immotique. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à compiler un code d'application configuré de façon à contrôler le premier dispositif hiérarchisé, de telle sorte que le code d'application comprend une pluralité de variables internes, activer un module de diagnostic configuré de façon à surveiller la pluralité de variables internes, collecter les données de diagnostic des variables internes associées à la pluralité de variables internes surveillées, téléverser les données de diagnostic des variables internes collectées vers un second dispositif hiérarchisé, effectuer dans le second dispositif hiérarchisé une analyse de diagnostic par couche sur les données de diagnostic des variables internes, et identifier un problème du premier dispositif hiérarchisé sur la base des données de diagnostic des variables internes analysées.
