An input device for a Programmable Logic Controller is taught. Briefly stated, an incoming input voltage is rectified with an input impedance being principally capacitive in order to avoid heat dissipation. This rectified power in turn cooperates with a current source such that once a set point is reached the current source current does not increase with increasing input voltage. The current source is also utilized to prevent off-state leakage current from turning on an input optocoupler by allowing most of the input current to be drawn through the current source until a turn-on threshold which is set by a zener diode is met.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'entrée pour contrôleur logique programmable (PLC). En bref, une tension d'entrée introduite est redressée à l'aide d'une impédance d'entrée principalement capacitive afin d'éviter la dissipation de chaleur. Cette puissance redressée coagit à son tour avec une source de courant conçue pour qu'une fois une valeur de consigne atteinte, le courant de la source cesse de croître avec la tension d'entrée. La source de courant sert également à empêcher que le courant de fuite à l'état bloqué ne déclenche l'optocoupleur d'entrée, en permettant de faire passer la plus grande partie du courant d'entrée dans la source jusqu'à ce qu'on atteigne le seuil de déclenchement fixé par une diode de Zener.
