One such peptide, 38.G of the sequence (I): Asp-Gln-Val-His-Phe-Gln-Pro-Leu-Pro-Pro-Ala-Val-Val-Lys-Leu-Ser-Asp-Ala-Leu-I_ le has been found to be useful for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and provides a basis for a method of distinguishing TB patients from infected or otherwise sensitised but healthy clinical suspects.
