A gelatinous reagent containing chloride ions, aliphatic alcohol, Fe3+ and trace amounts of selected agents is useful for detecting the pathologies of atherogenic metabolism and bilirubinemia by observation of a color change when the reagent is brought into contact with a body fluid. The reagent can be carried on a diagnostic strip or can be used for spectrometric analysis in liquid form. The reagent can be used with a second reagent containing oxammonium sulfate to identify the pathologies by measurement of the electrophotential generated when a body fluid is brought into contact with both of the reagents.

Un réactif gélatineux, contenant des ions chlorure, un alcool aliphatique, Fe?3+¿ et des traces d'agents choisis, est utile pour détecter les pathologies du métabolisme athérogène et la bilirubinémie, par l'observation du changement de couleur quand un réactif est amené en contact avec un fluide du corps. Le réactif peut être porté par une bandelette pour diagnostic ou il peut être utilisé sous forme liquide pour une analyse spectrométrique. Le réactif peut être utilisé avec un second réactif contenant du sulfate d'oxammonium pour l'identification des pathologies par la mesure du potentiel électrique généré quand un liquide organique est amené en contact avec les deux réactifs.
