An anchoring system (10) for securing a dialysis catheter to a patient comprises an anchor pad (12) and a retainer (20). The anchor pad is attached to the skin of the patient by an adhesive layer (16) on one side of the pad. The retainer is disposed upon the surface of the anchor pad opposite the adhesive layer and includes a base (22) and a cover (24) and a adhesive spot. A groove (30) upon the base is arranged to receive a Y-site portion of a dialysis catheter (8) where the lumens merge distal to the insertion site. A post (78) also protrudes from the base to the cover at a position which will be disposed between the two distal branches of the dialysis catheter. The cover closes over the base, securing the Y-site between the groove and the post. Closing the cover also places at least a portion of the catheter in contact with the adhesive spot. This contact between the retainer, adhesive spot and catheter thereby inhibits inadvertent motion of the catheter upon the patient. A latch mechanism (80) is disposed upon the retainer to maintain the cover in a closed position over the Y-site of the catheter on the base.
L'invention concerne un système d'ancrage pour fixer un cathéter de dialyse sur un patient, qui comporte un coussinet d'ancrage et un élément de retenue. Le coussinet d'ancrage se fixe sur la peau du patient grâce à une couche adhésive située sur une face du coussinet. L'élément de retenue se place sur la surface du coussinet d'ancrage située du côté opposé à la couche adhésive, et comprend une base, un couvercle et un point adhésif. Une rainure située sur la base permet de recevoir une partie de site en Y d'un cathéter de dialyse, où les lumières se réunissent de façon distale par rapport au site d'insertion. Une tige dépassant de la base en direction du couvercle vient se positionner entre les deux branches distales du cathéter de dialyse. Le couvercle se referme sur la base, fixant le site en Y entre la rainure et la tige. La fermeture du couvercle met aussi au moins une partie du cathéter en contact avec le point adhésif. Ce contact entre l'élément de retenue, le point adhésif et le cathéter permet d'empêcher un déplacement accidentel du cathéter sur le patient. Un mécanisme de verrouillage est placé sur l'élément de retenue afin de maintenir le couvercle en position fermée sur le site en Y du cathéter fixé à la base.
