A disposable cartridge (10) or use in a hemodialysis machine (1) has a blood flowpath for carrying a volume of blood to be treated in a dialyser and a dialysate flowpath, isolated from the blood flowpath, for delivering a flow of dialysate solution through the dialyser. The cartridge (10) is received in an engine section (4) of the machine (1). The engine section (4) has first and second platens (5, 6) which close when the cartridge (10) is inserted to retain the cartridge (10). Actuators (7) and sensors (8) arranged on the second platen (6) control operatin of the cartridge (10).

L~invention a pour objet une cartouche jetable (10) pour hémodialyseur (1) comprenant un circuit sanguin pour le transport d~un volume de sang à traiter dans un dialyseur et un circuit de dialysat isolé du circuit sanguin pour la circulation d~une solution de dialysat à travers le dialyseur. La cartouche (10) est logée dans une partie moteur (4) de l~hémodialyseur (1). La partie moteur (4) comporte une première et une seconde platines (5, 6) qui se referment lorsque la cartouche (10) est insérée pour la maintenir en place. Des actionneurs (7) et des capteurs (8) sur la seconde platine (6) commandent l~utilisation de la cartouche (10).
