DIAMINES AND A PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Diamines corresponding to the general formula Image wherein R1 and R2, which may be identical or different, denote hydrogen or straight or branched-chain alkyl groups having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, at least one of R1 and R2 representing an alkyl group, and m and n represent 0 or 1, with m + n = 1, optionally in the form of isomeric mixtures, and op- tionally containing up to 35%, by weight, of the corre- sponding perhydrogenated diamines and/or optionally mixed with up to 10%, by weight, of the corresponding un- hydrogenated aromatic diamines. Also, a process for preparing these diamines by catalytically-hydrogenating the corresponding aromatic diamines with the addition of 3 mols of hydrogen per mol of diamine.
