The present invention is directed to novel diaminothiazoles of formula (I): These compounds inhibit cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (Cdk4) and are selective against Cdk2 and Cdkl. These compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters have antiproliferative activity and are useful in the treatment or control of cancer, in particular solid tumors. This invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds and to their use for the preparation of medicaments for the treatment and control of cancer, most particularly the treatment or control of breast, lung and colon and prostate tumors.
L'invention concerne des diaminothiazoles de formule (I): ces composés inhibent la kinase 4 dépendant des cyclines (Cdk4) et agissent sélectivement contre la Cdk2 et la Cdkl. Lesdits composés et leurs sels ou esters pharmaceutiquement acceptables ont une action antiproliférative et sont utiles dans le traitement ou le contrôle du cancer, en particulier s'agissant des tumeurs solides. L'invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques renfermant ce type de composé, et leur utilisation pour l'élaboration de médicaments utilisés dans le traitement et le contrôle du cancer, plus particulièrement le traitement ou le contrôle du cancer du sein, du poumon et du colon ou de la prostate.
