A diamond-coated body is prepared by coating a dimaond film on the surface of a sintered body by means of vapor phase synthesis, the sintered body being so prepared by subjecting a sintered body prepared from ceramics based on silicon nitride to heat treatment at the temperature of 1,400 °C to 1,700 °C as to give a crystalline intergranular phase. The resulting diamond-coated body has excellent adhesion between the diamond film and the substrate and it is appropriately employed for cutting tools and so on because, when applied to the cutting tools, they can be used for cutting for a long period of time.
Corps diamanté produit en appliquant un feuil diamanté à la surface d'un corps fritté par synthèse en phase gazeuse, le corps fritté étant ainsi produit en soumettant un corps fritté, composé de céramique au nitrure de silicium, à une température comprise entre 1400 et 1700 degrés Celsius pour l'obtention d'une phase intergranulaire cristalline. Le corps diamanté obtenu possède une excellente adhérence, au niveau du feuil diamanté et du substrat, et convient aux outils tranchants ou aux objets analogues, un outil tranchant muni de ce revêtement étant susceptible de servir longtemps.
