The invention relates to a diamond hollow drill (1), the hollow boring head (3) thereof comprising a diamond layer. According to the invention, said boring head (3) is embodied in the form of a boring crown (4) provided with outer recesses e.g. in the form of grooves in the region of the diamond layer, and segments (5) which radially and outwardly protrude in relation to the adjoining boring head element. A countersunk ring (6) which can optionally be applied to the boring head (3) comprises a shell-type opening, the form of which is essentially adapted to the contours of the boring crown (4), comprising recesses for the segments (5) of the boring crown (1). The interaction between the segments (5) determining the outer diameter of the bore hole and the countersunk ring sections protruding in a smaller diametrical region prevents the formation of burrs at the transition between boring and milling.
L'invention concerne une mèche creuse diamantée (1) dont la tête d'alésage (3) comporte une couche diamantée. Selon l'invention, ladite tête d'alésage (3) est conçue sous forme de couronne d'alésage (4) comportant des cavités extérieures se présentant par ex. sous la forme de rainures, et de segments (5) faisant radialement saillie vers l'extérieur par rapport à la partie consécutive de la tête d'alésage. Un anneau fraisé pouvant éventuellement être disposé sur la tête d'alésage présente une ouverture d'enfichage dont la forme est essentiellement adaptée aux contours de la couronne d'alésage (4), comportant des cavités destinées aux segments (5) de la couronne (1). L'interaction des segments (5) déterminant le diamètre extérieur de l'alésage et des sections de l'anneau fraisé faisant saillie dans une plus petite zone diamétrale permet d'empêcher la formation de bavures au niveau de la transition entre l'alésage et le fraisage.
