This diaphram Clamp Kit is made to work on General Motors and Ford diesel vacuum pumps.Remove diaphram housing from pump assembly, grind down the binding clamp around till diaphram housing splits into two (2) pieces. Clean up any sharp edges on the top diaphram cover, grind the top of centre pin care must be taken not to damage steel plate as it must be reused. Remove damaged diaphram and save upper and lower plates and tighten plates and centre pin together. Install diaphram housing placing spring on top. Install upper and lower clamps tighten clamps with six (6) screws supplied, you may need to puncture holes to make the screws start thru the thread. Fill pump with approx one (1) ounce of engine oil and replace diaphram housing. Bench test the pump assembly and you should have a reading of 22psi min.
