ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE REMOVABLE HEMOSTASIS VALVE A diaphragm for a hemostasis valve comprising a body having a central passage, a seal having a central aperture therein, the seal being mounted in the central passage. The diaphragm has a wall member with a slit therein, the diaphragm being mounted in the central pas- sage, the diaphragm wall member having an inner bottom diaphragm surface and an outer bottom diaphragm surface, the slit extending from the inner bottom diaphragm surface to the outer bottom diaphragm surface, the wall member having a diaphragm chamber therewithin.
