ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Diaphragms for electrolytic cells are prepared by depositing a slurry of branched thermoplastic fibers dispersed in a water-acetone medium onto a cathode screen. After drying the so deposited fibers form an entanglement or network which does not require bonding or cementing.
