PROPOSED ABSTRACT A die assembly with two spaced lips which define an elongate die orifice, wherein one of the lips is adjustable by means of wedges which are in sliding engagement with an inclined face of the lip and which are disposed in spaced relation along the length of the orifice and wherein for each wedge a spring is provided that keeps the wedges in firm contact with the corresponding faces, thereby to obtain a localized adjustment of the lip and a firm locking of the local lip position.
