A blanket (10) is provided including a first panel (12) of material having a honeycombed portion (14) that is expanded to form a second, projecting panel (16) from the first panel material. The invention also includes a method of reducing the material needed to construct a multipanel structure. The method includes the steps of providing a first panel of material; honeycombing a portion of that first panel and expanding the honeycombed portion of the first panel to form a second panel projecting from the first panel. Advantageously, the second panel is formed from material of the first panel and no additional material is required.

L'invention concerne une couverture (10) qui comprend un premier panneau (12) de matériau présentant une partie alvéolée (14) qui est étendue de façon à former un deuxième panneau saillant (16) depuis le premier panneau de matériau. L'invention concerne également un procédé de réduction du matériau nécessaire pour construire une structure à panneaux multiples.
