A honeycomb web precursor (10) includes a body of polymer material having a series of branched slits (16). The body is capable of expanding into a web of honeycomb construction. Various panels and partitions are also disclosed. A method is also provided for producing a honeycomb web of polymer material. That method includes the making of a series of branched slits in a body of polymer material so as to define multiple expansion ribs and the expanding of the body and erecting of the expansion ribs by folding so as to form the honeycomb web.

L'invention concerne un précurseur de bande de tissu en nid d'abeilles (10) comprenant un corps de matériau polymère présentant une série de fentes ramifiées (16). Le corps peut s'étendre de manière à former une bande de tissu présentant une construction en nid d'abeilles. L'invention concerne également plusieurs panneaux et cloisons. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de production d'une bande de tissu en nid d'abeilles constituée de matériau polymère. Ledit procédé fait appel à la fabrication d'une série de fentes ramifiées dans un corps de matériau polymère de manière à définir de multiples nervures d'extension ainsi qu'à l'extension du corps et au montage des nervures d'extension par pliage de manière à former la bande de tissu en nid d'abeilles.
