DIE FOR MAKING THREAD-FORMING FASTENER Abstract of the Disclosure Thread-rolling dies for forming a lobular fastener have die sections with grooves of equal depth to roll a pilot thread on the fastener. The die sections have grooves of equal depth and with the groove depth being less than the depth of the grooves in the adjacent die section whereat a tapered thread-swaging thread is formed on the fastener.
