- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides a dielectric ceramic composition of a ternary system Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-pbTiO3-Pb(Zn1/2W1/2)O3 which comprises a solid solution having a composition represented by the general formula: xPb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-ypbTiO3-zPb(Zn1/2W1/2)O3 wherein x, y and z are mole fractions of the respective three components, and x + y + z = 1.00, the composition falling in a compositional area defined by a polygon encanpassed by the points, A, B, C and D of accompanying Fig. 1. The sets of mole fractions of the three components at these points are as follows: Image These compositions have low sintering temperatures (less than 1100°C) and a high dielectric constant of more than 8000.
