ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Dielectric fluids having very good electrical properties, low viscosities, low vapor pressures, low freezing points, high flash points and excellent biodegradability consisting of mixtures of (a) less than 30% of a chloro- or bromo-diphenyl oxide and (b) an alkyl halodiphenyl oxide. In preferred embodiments, the proportions of the two are 5% to 30% by weight of (a) and 95% to 70% by weight of (b).
