There is provided use of a thermal stabiliser for increasing the thermal stability of a cetane improver in a fuel composition comprising (i) a fuel, and (ii) the cetane improver wherein the thermal stabiliser is a compound of the formula Het-R1 wherein Het is a group comprising a heterocyclic group and R1 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 10 to 200 carbons.

On présente l'utilisation d'un stabilisateur thermique pour accroître la stabilité thermique d'un composé améliorant le cétane dans une formulation de carburant constituée (i) d'un carburant; (ii) du composé améliorant le cétane, où le stabilisateur thermique est un composé de formule Het-R1, Het étant un groupement comportant un hétérocycle et R1 et un hydrocarbyle comptant 10 à 200 atomes de carbone.
