ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Serving portion sized dietary meat products are produced for quick warm and serve when preserved in frozen pre-cooked condition. They are characterized by an unbreaded surface glazing layer of proteins, spices and flavorings and sugar solids, and devoid of oils and starches to produce a lower calorie product with the characteristics of appearance substantially roasted meat, even when warmed in a micro-wave oven. This is achieved by dry roasting the surface glazing to attain a permanent coloring from its ingredients that also serves to seal in juices and liquid marinade impregnating the meat to avoid dehydration loss when frozen and stored in frozen form.
