A differential housing includes: a housing main body having an opening and a breather hole, in which a ring gear is accommodated so that a part of the ring gear projects from the opening; and a housing cover closing the opening of the housing main body and having a recessed portion for accommodating a part of the ring gear projecting from the opening to the outside, the recessed portion of the housing cover being formed along a contour line of the part of the ring gear projecting from the opening of the housing main body to the outside.
L'invention porte sur une coquille de différentiel comprenant un corps central de carter muni d'une ouverture et d'un trou d'évent. Une couronne de train planétaire y est montée de façon à ce qu'une partie de cette dernière fasse saillie à l'extérieur. du capot qui la recouvre en passant par l'ouverture précitée; la partie renfoncée du capot est formée le long d'une ligne qui suit le pourtour du composant de la couronne de train planétaire qui fait saillie à l'extérieur, lequel passe par l'ouverture pratiquée vers l'extérieur dans le corps central du carter.
