L'élément de friction multicouches en matériau composite carbone-carbone comporte une couche de structure à texture dite "grossière" comprenant des segments de mèches et au moins une couche de friction à texture dite "fine" comprenant des segments de fibres. Se procédé de fabrication d'un tel élément de friction par préparation d'un substrat fibreux se fait en introduisant des segments de mèche et/ou de fibres dans un moule de préférence à l'aide d'un dispositif de distribution. Et un dispositif pour obtenir automatiquement un substrat fibreux à texture prédéterminée.
