A masking material (1) has differently coloured portions (2,3) producing a sight line (22) to assist locating the material (1) along a swage line(20) of a vehicle body part (21). The material (1) can be secured in either one of two orientations to arrange the portions (2,3) to produce a sight line (22) for use with light and dark coloured vehicles. Adhesive stripes (2a,3a) are provided on each side of the material (1) for sticking the material to the body part (21) in each orientation and the exposed strip may be used to attach masking paper if required.
L'invention concerne un élément de masquage (1) comprenant des parties de couleurs différentes (2, 3) formant une ligne visuelle (22) facilitant la localisation dudit élément (1) sur une ligne d'emboutissage (20) d'une partie de corps de véhicule (21). Cet élément (1) peut être fixé selon deux orientations de manière que l'agencement des parties (2, 3) permette de produire une ligne visuelle (22) destinée à des véhicules peints avec des couleurs claires ou foncées. Des bandes adhésives (2a, 3a) sont disposées sur chaque côté de cet élément (1) et lui permettent d'adhérer à la partie de corps de véhicule (21) dans chacune de ces orientations, la bande à nu pouvant servir à fixer le papier de masquage, si nécessaire.
