ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A combined cycle electric power plant includes steam and gas turbines which are process connected through heat recovery steam generators, and a digital/analog control system provides for plant operation. The digital part of the control system provides automatic turbine control and the analog part of the control system provides for operator control of the turbines and the steam generators or boilers. For those parts of the control system where the digital and operator analog controls respectively function as primary and backup controls, a digital/analog interface circuit is provided and it includes a register which function in re- sponse to a digital signal from the computer on primary auto- matic control and in response to binary up/down signals from the analog control on backup operator analog control. The register count rate is adjusted by clock operation under the control of a rate input. The interface circuit includes logic circuitry which responds to manual/auto transfer selection circuitry to control the application of inputs to the register with bumpless turbine transfer. The interface circuit con- verts the register signal to an analog output signal which is applied to the ultimate control for the end controlled tur- bine. In the gas turbine control, an operator analog startup control, a blade path temperature control and an operator analog load control are channeled together to generate the up/down and rate signals which are applied as inputs to the interface circuits. -1-
