- 1 - Abstract: Method and apparatus for production of large volume four colour reproduction pigment printing of displays from master screens of CRT terminals for computers involve reading first signals representing data for an additive color graphic image to be displayed on the screen and generating therefrom second signals representing needed data for recreating by printing a color facsimile of that display, using subtractive pigment combinations which match the color of that display position by position. Finally, the method involves producing and displaying internegative images in black and white representing levels of each subtractive primary needed in printing the same on a three color press. The method enables increased color resolution and the elimination of curvature effects and flaws in conventional photographing of color separation images as computer output on a printer.
