A method of transmitting "biphase" encoded digital signals comprised of the steps of receiving one of a multiplicity of input data bits, wherein each data bit is characterized by a temporal data bit length (12), a temporal bit center (T3) and a temporal state indicative of a logical 1 or 0, and generating an encoded digital baseband signal characterized by a temporal state indicate of a logical state therein the encoded digital baseband signal changes its temporal state according to whether the one input data bit changes its temporal state at a time prior to (T1 or 6) or after (T2 or 7) the temporal bit center (T3). A single sideband with this coding is generated independently by digital synthesis. Detection of the single sideband does not require re- insertion of the carrier.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de transmettre des signaux numériques codés "biphase", consistant à recevoir l'un des bits de données d'entrée de la multiplicité, chaque bit étant caractérisé par une longueur (12) de bit de données temporelles, un centre de bit temporel (T3) et un état temporel indicatif du un ou du zéro logique. Le procédé consiste également à générer un signal numérique de bande de base codé, caractérisé par un état temporel indicatif d'un état logique, ce signal modifiant son état temporel si le bit de données d'entrée un modifie son état temporel avant ( T1 ou 6) ou après (T2 ou 7) le centre de bit temporel. Avec ce codage, on génère une bande de base unique indépendamment, par synthèse numérique. La détection de la bande de base unique ne requiert pas de réinsertion de la porteuse.
